This study aimed to examine the role of "FIFA" in building and establishing peace and the way a sports organization could influence world peacebuilding. A further question was the basis of FIFA’s participation in world peace. The answer to this question lies in 1980s when FIFA reconsidered its macro-level goals and was converted into a multi-aspect organization. Accordingly, the participation of FIFA began in 1980s in collaboration with other international organizations active in peacebuilding such as the United Nations and its sub-organizations such as United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace and UNICEF as well as non-governmental organizations such as Football for Peace. Several articles in FIFA’s Statue specify its active presence in different fields including human rights and elimination of racial and gender discriminations. This, in its turn, provides a space for peacebuilding in difficult conditions. The procedures of FIFA also indicate its high potential and influential role in peacebuilding and establishing peace in crisis-ridden areas in the Balkans, Palestine, Afghanistan, Africa, and other places in the world through joint programs such as “Unity for Peace, United for Peace”, “Football Friends”, “Football for Hope” and “Football for Peace”. Today, FIFA’s outlook is focused more than ever on peace and activities for peacebuilding. This is more tangible considering the developments in relations with other organizations active in peacebuilding and the significance of FIFA’s social responsibility. فدراسیون بین‏المللی فوتبال (فیفا)، یکی از سازمان‏های بین‏المللی غیردولتی است که به صورت فعال در مسائل جامعۀ بین‏المللی نقش‏آفرینی می‏کند؛ یکی از این اهداف «مسئله صلح» است. پرسش اساسی این پژوهش نیز در باب نقش «فیفا» در ایجاد و تثبیت صلح می‌باشد. از دهۀ هشتاد میلادی، نقش‏آفرینی گسترده فیفا با مشارکت سایر نهاد‏های بین‏المللی فعال در زمینه صلح به‌ویژه سازمان ملل متحد و زیر‏مجموعه‏‏های آن شروع شد. این مشارکت‏ها ریشه در اساسنامه این سازمان دارد که در بندهای متعدد، زمینه حضور فعال فیفا را در بسترهای مختلف؛ از جمله حقوق بشر، منع تبعیض نژادی و تبعیض جنسیتی فراهم کرده است که به نوبه خود باعث بستر‏سازی برای ایجاد صلح و یا تثبیت صلح در شرایط دشوار شده است. رویه این سازمان نیز حاکی از توان مضاعف فیفا دارد که با اجرای مشترک برنامه‏هایی نظیر «اتحاد برای کودکان، متحد برای صلح»، «دوستان فوتبال»، «فوتبال برای امید» و «فوتبال برای صلح»، نقش مؤثری در فرایند ایجاد و تثبیت صلح در مناطق بحران‏زده‏ای همچون بالکان، فلسطین اشغالی، افغانستان، آفریقا و سایر مناطق دنیا دارد. چشم‏انداز فیفا نیز بیش از پیش حاکی از توجه به مسئلۀ صلح و فعالیت در این زمینه است. این امر به‌ویژه با توجه به گسترش ارتباطات بین فیفا و سایر سازمان‏های فعال در زمینه صلح و اهمیت مسئلۀ مسئولیت اجتماعی فیفا، ملموس است. در این پژوهش از روش توصیفی_تحلیلی برای تشریح و تبیین منابع کتابخانه‌ای استفاده شده است. http://iojournal.csr.ir/fa/Article/Download/37871
