On the other hand, elementary school education forms the basis of all instructions, requiring special attention to be paid at this phase. Therefore, considering the role and significance of curriculum in teaching tourism concepts, especially the necessity for the inclusion of such concepts in textbooks, this study sought to analyze the content of the social studies textbooks taught at second-grade elementary school, taking tourism’s componential elements into account. To this end, Shannon’s entropy model was used to analyze the textbooks’ content (texts, images, tasks), designating the page as the unit of analysis. Moreover, the study's statistical population comprised of three textbooks designed to be taught at the fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade elementary school level, out of which 406 pages were selected. The results indicated that 994 items had addressed the components of tourism education. It was also found that the highest attention had been paid to "environmental protection", with its information load and coefficient correlation being 0.9849 and 0.1319, respectively. Furthermore, the lowest attention was reported to have been paid to the component of "roads and means of travel transportation," with its information load and coefficient correlation being 0.5203 and 0.0731, respectively. صنعت گردشگری از جمله صنایع مهمی است که فرصت‌های زیادی را برای توسعه جوامع فراهم می‌کند. معرفی و آموزش گردشگری و مؤلفه‌های آن در نظام تعلیم و تربیت یکی از مهمترین راهکارهایی است که می‌تواند موجب توسعه گردشگری شود. آموزش در دوره ابتدایی پایه و اساس همه آموزش‌ها است و در واقع زیربنای نظام آموزشی به شمار می‌آید؛ بنابراین توجه به این دوره اهميت زیادی دارد. با توجه به نقش و اهمیت محتوای درسی در آموزش مفاهیم گردشگری، ضرورت پرداختن کتاب‌های درسی به این مهم احساس می‌شود. هدف از این پژوهش تحلیل محتواي کتاب‌هاي درسی مطالعات اجتماعی دوره دوم ابتدایی بر مبناي مؤلفه‌هاي گردشگري است. روش مورد استفاده در تحلیل محتوا، آنتروپی شانون بوده و واحد تحلیل صفحات (متن، تصاویر و فعالیت‌ها) بودند که در مجموع شامل 406 صفحه می‌شد. جامعه آماري پژوهش شامل سه کتاب درسی پایه‌های چهارم، پنجم و ششم ابتدایی بود. با توجه به نتایج تجزیه و تحلیل، از 406 صفحه کتاب درسی مطالعات اجتماعی دوره دوم ابتدایی، 994 مورد فراوانی در رابطه با مؤلفه‌هاي آموزش گردشگري یافت شد که بیشترین میزان توجه، مربوط به مؤلفه «حفاظت از محیط زيست» با بار اطلاعاتی 9849/0 و ضریب اهمیت 1319/0 و کمترین میزان توجه مربوط به مؤلفه «راه‌ها و وسايل حمل و نقل مسافرتي» با بار اطلاعاتی 5203/0 و ضریب اهمیت 0731/0 می‌باشد. http://localhost:44365/fa/Article/Download/36227
