Delving into their beliefs and sentiments offers a deeper insight into their spirit. The most reliable criterion for examining a poet’s disposition is their poetry, which is considered the “offspring of their soul.” Some poets, like Ferdowsi and Naser Khosrow, are regarded as exemplars of ethics in Persian literature. Shahriar, an ethics-oriented poet, skillfully and artfully elaborates on moral and didactic themes in his poetry. Although this article does not provide the scope to fully showcase Shahriar’s literary artistry, discerning readers will recognize that this masterful poet views “teaching” and providing “pleasure” as two reciprocal and interacting elements of literature, utilizing literature to serve his intellectual ideas. An examination of Shahriar’s poems reveals his profound commitment to educating his audience. His most significant educational themes include: combating base desires, abstaining from worldliness, showing kindness and forsaking animosity, modesty, patience, courtesy, generosity, contentment, renouncing greed, humility, and altruism. In this research, the author endeavors to investigate and analyze the moral teachings within Shahriar’s poetry and elucidate their prominent characteristics.</p> <p>برای شناخت شاعران پرداختن به حال آنان و عناصر زیبایی سخن شعر کافی نیست، بلکه پی بردن به عقاید و روحیات آن¬ها کمک بیشتری به شناخت روحیه شاعران می¬کند. بهترین معیار و ملاک بررسی روحیه¬ی شاعران دقت در اشعار آنان است که اصطلاحاً فرزند جان آنان محسوب می¬شود. بعضی از شاعران چون فردوسی، ناصرخسرو اسوه و الگوی اخلاقیات در ادبیات فارسی به-شمار می¬روند. شهریار، شاعری اخلاق¬¬¬گراست که در تبیین مضامین اخلاقی و تعلیمی در اشعار خود با مهارت و ملاحت تمام عمل کرده است. اگرچه در این مقال، مجال نشان دادن «ادبیت» کار شهریار نیست اما خواننده با ذوق در خواهد یافت که این شاعر زبردست، «آموختن» و «لذت» بخشیدن را دو عنصر متقابل و متعامل ادبیات می¬داند و خود نیز ادبیات را در خـدمت اندیشه¬هایش قرار می¬دهد. بررسی اشعار شهریار نشان می¬دهد که وی به تعلیم مخاطب خود بسیار اهتمام ورزیده است. مهم¬ترین مضامین تربیتی مورد توجه وی عبارتند از: مبارزه با هوای نفس، پرهیز از دنیاپرستی، مهرورزی و ترک خصومت، شرم، شکیبایی، ادب، سخاوت، قناعت، ترک آزمندی، فروتنی و نوع¬دوستی. در این پژوهش نگارنده می¬کوشد به بررسی و تحلیل آموزه&zwnj;های اخلاقی در اشعار شهریار بپردازند و ویژگی¬های بارز آنها را تبیین نماید.</p>
