He believes that denying t’awil is a sign of superficiality. His writings, particularly his two books of ‘Ayn al-yaqin and Usul al-m‘arif and his Mizan al-qiyamah treatise, testify to the supreme place of ontology in discovering the secrets of religious teachings. Fayd’s research in the field of t’awil is based on his philosophical-gnostic thoughts. He conceives of ontology as a window through which one should view the vast spread of revealed teachings. The writer believes that the treatise of al-Insaf introduces Fayd’s methodology of t’awil. Moreover, it describes the process of the writer’s journey towards the truth. According to this gnostic philosopher, some of the conditions that are necessary for one’s attaining the knowledge of t’awil include recognizance of theoretical and practical wisdom, spiritual perfection, patience, and truth seeking. تأويل نزد فيض كاشاني، رهيافتي براي رسيدن به باطن و عمق معناست. او انكار تأويل را نشاني از قشريگري و جمود بر ظواهر ميداند. نگاشته‌هاي وي بخصوص دو كتاب عين‌اليقين‌ ‌و اصول‌المعارف‌ ‌و همچنين رسالة ميزان‌القيامه‌ ‌از جايگاه والاي وجودشناسي در نيل به اسرار و رموز معارف دين خبر ميدهد. تأويل‌پژوهي فيض مبتني بر انديشه‌هاي فلسفي عرفاني اوست. او وجودشناسي را همچون پنجره‌يي ميداند كه از دريچة آن بايد وسعت معارف وحياني را نظاره نمود. نگارنده معتقد است رسالة الانصاف‌ ‌رساله‌يي است كه روش‌شناسي فيض در نيل به تأويل را نشان ميدهد؛ بعلاوه حكايت مؤلف است در چگونگي وصولش به حقيقت. التزام به حكمت نظري و عملي، شرح صدر، فراخي حوصله و حق طلب بودن از شرايطي است كه در نظر اين حكيم عارف، رسيدن به تأويل را براي آدمي امكانپذير ميكند. http://kherad.mullasadra.org/fa/Article/Download/23794
