Since he is a less well-known personality, especially among the general public, the introduction of outstanding works that he has done throughout his life will help – not only better his knowledge- but also the recognition of a part of the history of oral literature and the general public the contemporary era. In this way it used his own works, including fiction and nonfiction, as well as the interview and discussion he conducted during his lifetime as well as articles published by him and others researchers in his field of work in various journals and public actions. Book that have been published on various topics of fiction, public and oral literature of the old people of Tehran, their customs and lifestyles, or any source that reveals some sort of clue about the personality trait and the writing of Jafar Shahri. In this article, it is tried to introduce, analyze and review its works using all available and capacities and referring to the works available from the author himself. Of course, while introducing the works of Jafar Shahri, a brief overview of his biography is also available. چکیده «جعفر شهری» (شهری‌باف) نویسنده و پژوهشگر فرهنگ و ادبیات عامّه و روایتگر تاریخ اجتماعی تهران در یک قرن اخیر بوده است. وی از آنجا که شخصیتی کمتر شناخته شده به‌ویژه در میان عموم جامعه است؛ معرفی آثار و کارهای برجسته‌ای که در طول حیات خویش انجام داده است نه تنها به شناخت بهتر او بلکه به شناخت بخشی از تاریخ ادبیات شفاهی و عامّه مردم در دوره معاصر کمک خواهد کرد. در این راه از آثار خود او اعم از کتب داستانی و غیرداستانی و نیز مصاحبه‌ها و گفتگوهایی که وی در زمان حیاتش انجام داده و هم‌چنین مقالاتی که از او و دیگر پژوهشگران در حوزه‌ی کاری او در مجلات و نشریات مختلف چاپ شده است، بهره گرفته شده است. از کتاب‌هایی که در موضوعات مختلف داستان‌نویسی، ادبیات عامّه و شفاهی مردم تهران قدیم، آداب و رسوم و سبک زندگی آنها منتشر شده است و یا هر منبعی که به نوعی سرنخی از ویژگی شخصیتی و نویسندگی « جعفر شهری » آشکار کند، استفاده شده است. در این مقاله کوشش شده است با استفاده از تمام ظرفیت‌های ممکن و موجود و با استناد به آثاری که از خود نویسنده در دسترس است؛ به معرفی، تحلیل وبررسی آثار ایشان پرداخته شود. البته ضمن معرفی آثار جعفر شهری؛ جهت آشنایی بیشتر، نگاهی اجمالی و گذرا نیز به زندگی نامه ایشان شده است. http://qpjournal.ir/fa/Article/Download/22367
